We are always in need of non-perishable items such as canned meats, friuts, vegetables, dried pasta, beans, soup, plus all seasonings, including salt, pepper, ketchup, mayonaise, mustard, bar-b-que sauce etc.
Let your frinds and neighbors, your church group, or your co-workers know you're collecting items for our kitchen. A week to 2 weeks is a good time frame to collect. Then drop off the items at our office , or - if there is a lot - call us to pick them up!
Your donations are always tax-deductible.
No experience needed - and no special skills required. Our oldest volunteer is 94, and our youngest, just 15. We have a spot just right for you. Stop by our office any Monday through Friday between 9:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. and see if we are a good fit for your needs.
Our Volunteers ususally work one day per week from about 6:45 a.m. to approximately 10:45 a.m.
Volunteers work under the supervision of one of our professional cooks and sous chefs. They cut up vegetables and fruit, prepare salads, desserts, and other items. They then serve our nearly 200 clients each day. At the end of serving time, they make sure the area is ready for the next day.
